Across the board, on average, 70% of our time is spent working. Our 8-5 jobs take a huge Portion of our time, which raises the importance of doing what you love ensuring your work Inspires you, as well as, offers a space you want to work in, surrounded by good people.
Many businesses have taken on new workplace strategies to ensure that their staff look Forward to coming into work while working as efficiently as possible. There is no longer only Focus on work, but also business culture and the essence of a team. It’s almost as if work Systems have been redesigned, and what used to be does not cut it now.
Today, many businesses see the importance of seeking design guidance from interior Designers for their workplace as through years of research and seeing results, a welldesigned space makes for happy employees and great work productivity. There is what you Could call a ‘formula’ to a space, whereby it is divided into collaboration, work, pause and Social zones. With a workplace designed correctly as per these guidelines, businesses are Guaranteed increasing productivity and happier staff as break away times are provided for And less distraction is created – what a win!
With that said, we cannot only rely on a well-designed space to ensure workspace efficiency And great business culture. To achieve this, it also comes down to how we treat people we Work with, no matter the hierarchy in the business. Have fun at work! Set time aside to find out How people are doing. Organsie weekly team lunches to catch up. Have interest in Developing each other’s skills through training and short courses. Help one another. If we are All able to do this, what a blessing work will be. Not that work will never be stressful Either…that’s normal, but at least we’ll feel cable and supported during those times!
There’s a quote by alan watts that says, “stop measuring days by a degree of productivity And start experiencing them by a degree of presence”. It’s perhaps quite a good quote to Remember, and although productivity is so important in the workplace, we all need to Remind ourselves that there’s more beyond that and to invest in creating a sense of Community we want to be in
